My friend Amy had a recent post on her blog with some personal reflection she got while on the Ogden Trails (said with my hand over my heart!) which brought a flood of memories of my own meaningful hours and hours spent on those trails. She mentioned a line from a Jack Johnson song that I too, found very helpful, if followed. (Thanks Am.)

Ben had the day off from work yesterday. It was SO nice to have my husband and for Maria to have her Daddy for a whole day....so nice!
Ben and I both got our runs in. We fed the birds and squirrels then watched them (a regular morning activity), ate breakfast on the back deck in our camp and high chairs, had Baja Fresh (as close as we can get to Cafe Rio or Bajio's) for lunch outside on the tables, washed the cars (very fulfilling for me!), then to the water fountains....Maria picks flower after flower from the grass and socializes with all the big kids, dogs and people...quite comical to watch.
Oh, and we had ice cream for a late night dessert, again.

ah (sigh) Thanks Meg, :) so flattered to be on your post. Sounds like your day was wonderful. I love days like that when berk is home and we are all together. I miss you.
