We drove back to Utah to attend Grandpa Wallace's funeral a couple of weeks ago. While we were there, we did some of the things we love most: spent time with our family and close friends, and hit the trails/mountains.
We hiked up to Malan's Peak on Saturday morning with Seth (Ben's bro) and two of his kids. They hiked great! (Good job M and P!) I got to run on the trails with Jen (more on the trail running with Jen to come!) and even got a lunch date with some of my besties.
We spent time with our families and cherished our time with our grandparents, whom we are so lucky to still have. They all adore Maria, and it makes me melt to watch them dote on her and light up in her presence. 
The three of us evolved into a cave family for Halloween. Maria got her first real dose of trick-or-treating and scored some good loot, not joking either. 
Can I grow up to be as cool and hip as Liz!? Check them out!

As always, we ate well and had a lot of fun with all of our family members doing the things that keep us close.
We missed our family as soon as we drove out of the driveways...and looked back and saw the hands waving and kisses flying in the wind to catch us. XOxoxoXO

Sorry to hear about your grandpa. Glad you got to see your fam for Halloween - LOVE the Caveman clan. Maria is a doll, those eyes! And your canning skills are seriously impressive...very domestic indeed. xoxo
That is fun (despite the funeral) I can't imagine living away from family but in way it'd be fun too. Trail running? Hopefully it was back when it was WARM! It's freeeezing now!
You do have one amazing and fun family! So sorry to hear about Ben's grandpa.
