Carousel Girl

Maria can't seem to get enough of the carousel.
We went to Salem to see some friends last week. When I took the exit Maria said, "Oh! We going to the carousel?" I had not said anything about the carousel, and was not planning on going there. Maria recognized where we were and what she might get to do...if she was lucky.
And she was.
I love to see how she gets so excited to give "the man" her token and then pick her horse. Once I put her on her horse, she looks around and beams with the thrill of anticipation. When the carousel begins to move, Maria always looks at me and kind of kicks her legs. It happens every time, and I love it more and more each time.
