June 2013
Some of my (really I should say our...mine and Maria and Malan's) friends came over for some swimming at my parent's. It is so much fun to get together and catch up right where we left off. Just seems like our kids get bigger, but we girls all stay the same. Whit is prego, Jen has a new baby, and Brek has three busy kids...all of our kids are beautiful and healthy and happy - and got along great and had a ton of fun. As for the moms, we talked and talked and wrestled our kids and let them fill up on all the snack food we brought until after 8 and then headed out to the sandbox for another hour or more of fun for the kids and catching up for us.

Brek with Mia and Christian. Brek is true, even if she has swim lessons, a full day of work, then a drive up from SLC...she will be there!
Malan just kept eating watermelon and drinking water. She could barely move her arms with her floaties on so she would lean over and eat like a dog.
Ryan would tow the girls (Avery, Kate and Maria) as Christian tried to tip the girls off.

Rossi, Kate, Maria, Mia and Avery laughing (sometime a crazy forced laugh) their heads off on the tire swing. Five little girls, from 4 different friends.
Getting some good use out of Waterfall Park - as the locals call it.
A good attempt at a group shot with the camera on the tire. Moms: Whit, Meg, Brek, Jen Kids: Malan, Mia, Christian, Rossi, Mason Maria, Avery and Kate (and no, I am not lactating!)
We had a perfect night. Christian said something to the effect that he didn't ever want to go home, just wanted to stay and play for a long time. Maria calls my parent's house her happy place, as I would guys most children could because there is so much fun to be had with the chickens, sand box set-up, tramp, garden, pipe and tire and castle fortress thing, the Cave with all it's dress-ups and fun toys, and always some Otter Pops (or random treats) and a drink from the water fountain.
Perfect night filled with friends old and young.
