Sauvie Island

July 5, 2013
Welcome to a little piece of heaven: Sauvie Island, Oregon.
I am pretty sure that fairies and little elves live here.
This place was magical and it's charm and beauty was not predicted by us.
What a surprise, a lucky new find on the map for us.

Riding the trailer tour thru the farmland.  The tractor will drop you off to pick.

Check this out.  This is just out of a story book.  U-cut flowers... and the selections was lovely.

If we could only hear the giggling coming from this wagon.  :)
Happy Malan.

Lavendar for the picking.  Bees in abundance.

Lots of oooohhhhs, and aaaahhhhs coming from Lesli.

My beautiful Maria would run through the rows to me.
Not our wagon.  So many things to choose from: kale, beets, cucumbers (a couple varieties), zuchinni,
snap peas, beans, spinach, blueberries, raspberries, so many flowers, corn (not ready yet), and a
number of other veggies I had never heard of.
Sauvie Island Farms did not dissappoint.
We wanted to explore somewhere new, and decided on Sauvie Island.
The farms just couldn't be passed by.
Next time we can check out the beaches and bird-watching.
