Halloween (and October happenings)
Utah and Oregon
2013
We had a fun Halloween this year.
In Oregon we got together with the Humphreys and made Halloween cookies, and then headed to Utah to spend the actual holiday with our families there.
We took the girls to see Great-Grandma Coke and Grandma Nancy and Papa Scott and then spent the night trick-or-treating in Mountain Green with all of the Wallace cousins, followed by dinner with cousins and Big Poppy Bob. Mountain Green is the perfect spot for letting your kids run wild and get all the candy they can stand. We didn't see Maria for a while, as she was off 'treating it up with her cousins.
Always fun to see so many friends and family.
As far as the dressing up went, Ben and I rummaged up some costumes at my parent's and then didn't really end up wearing any costumes at all. The girls were all dolled up as Belle (complete with my Mom's pearl clip-on earrings and make-up for Maria) and a Peacock (thanks to my friend Liz Sproul in OR, for letting us borrow the darling costume).
The Candy Witch came through again this year for Maria, who had the nerve make a candy exchange request (more like demand) for The Sound of Music movie. Well, the Candy Witch worked her magic and Maria and Malan had The Sound of Music waiting for them when they got back to Oregon.
(We are going to be using this gig for as long as we can!)
