Happy 90th Birthday Grandma Coke!

While in Utah, we (Maria, Malan and I) were able to celebrate my Grandma Lane's (Great-Grandma Coke) 90th birthday!  My Grandma Lane is quite the gal.

Some things about my Grandma that I love:
-her witty jokes and one-liners: (the nun prostitute joke, all of the Irish lines)
-her bathroom humor (as of late)
-her love for Kobe (and her 9 - or something like that - Boston Bull dogs as a child)
-her cackle of a laugh. I always thinks she is going to pee her pants when she gets going
-the way she snorts and sighs when she laughs
-her birdy kisses...they never get old to me, and my girls look forward to giving and receiving them from their Great-Grandma
-her stacks of post-its and random note pages all over the place
-the elastic bands on her wrists (She told me once that she started wearing them to so she could flip her wrist when she wanted to eat, and it would keep her from eating.  She is maybe 90 lbs. now and still wears a thick band of bands!)
-the 'hi' sign.  She even flashed her gang 'hi' sign at us from her seat amongst the Mo Tab, whom she sang with this same week in November .  Classic Grandma!
-the loaded pockets, filled with valuable crap like old kleenex, Werther's candies, gummy bears, Wrigley's gum, mints for starters.
-how she always walks us to the door and waves to us as we drive away
-how she can still get down on the floor to sit with us - as play with my girls
-her sense of style and fashion.  Grandmas still wears high heels on occasion and always looks so classy with her suit and skirt sets
-her funny weekly emails that she sends out with the help of Cindy
-her handwriting, her little written additions to all of the cards she sends "Grand" or "Grand daughter" or "Sweet" or "Little Mommy" and of course her "XOXOXOX Grandma Coke and Kobe" and "Stick Together"
-how she says, "Well if it isn't Corvallis, Oregon calling!" when I call on the phone
-how she always asks about Ben like they are old time friends
- how she just can't believe how Malan is so wild and moves nonstop.
-how she never gets sick of telling her stories about how she was an only child and how she wanted a big family, and how "God is good," and blessed her with all of her kids and all of us: the Lane Gang.
-and last, but definitely not least, how she says "And we all stick together,"  and we say, "In all kinds of weather."

It was a joy to be able to see and celebrate with my Grandma.
Happy 90th Grandma!
