Visitors!
November 2013
My parent's came to visit in November. They wanted to visit us (ever we just saw them/stayed with them, even flew back on the same flight), and see our new house, AND work on some house re-modelling projects.
While they were visiting, we hiked Chip Ross, visited Newport (beach and the Oregon Coast Aquarium), put in a ceiling fan (all my Dad), visited some friends, did the usual classes with Maria and Malan, and worked on some other project around the house. Thanks SO much for your help!!

The girls quite enjoyed playing in the Aquarium Theater.
Quite silly little plays that Maria would make up, using the seahorses, mermaid tails, kelp, shark and fish headpieces, starfish 'costumes,' and a bunch other other random ocean props that my dad and Ben kept throwing onto the stage.
Good thing we were the only people the theater, because it got a little rowdy with the fish throwing.

Maria was SO tired. She was completely enthralled in the musical, but once we left the theater (around 11), she was DONE! Good reminder that although Maria LOVES music and can sing all the songs and sit still and pay attention, she is still a little girl that gets way tired when the show is over.

While my parents were visiting, we had dessert at the Rampton's house, so my my Mom could
hear about the work and projects that her Laps for Learning helped fund.
I feel so grateful that I was able to be there to see and hear of the tremendous difference
and positive contribution my Mom's efforts had made on so many children in the Ukraine.
It was so sweet to watch my Mom get all choked up as she listed to Alice tell about the boy that
received a piano and lessons, and the other children that received scholarships and funds to
give them the opportunity for education and a better life.
It was so wonderful to watch my Mom learn of these real and see the difference she has helped to
make in their lives. |

I may or may not have just totally laughed out loud at the picture of dad in the old scuba suit. Hilarious! Looks so fun
