Lately, I have had some extra time to think. Most of this thinking takes place as I walk the trails above our house, well about a mile and a half's walk from our house. I have never really had an "addiction" to a sport or a place, but lately I feel like I am addicted to the mountains...the mountains in our little town of Ogden. Everyday I just wait to go for a walk in the hills where I can look out over the city and see the sun as it rises or sets. The sunsets are spectacular, as those of you who live (or have lived) in Utah know, and the clarity I recieve as I spend time in the mountains is something difficult to find in other places. Just some things I love about home.
We took advantage of some of the good 'ol Ogden traditions/going-ons today. Early this morning Ben road biked over Trapper's Loop and met me in Eden for the Hot Air Balloon Festival. The balloons started taking off at about 7 am and it was pretty cool to watch them floating above and around us. After watching the balloons we met up with my parents at the Hot Air Balloon Breakfast and then headed up to Pineview Reservoir (swim) and then Snowbasin and the nearby trails (mtn bike and run) to watch the XTERRA Race. We had a bunch of friends racing, so it was fun see them and to be around the energy this event provides. We had a really good day!

hey ben. We are thinking of moving up to ogden at the beginning of next year. Do you have any pointers or hot spots you would like to share? WE know nothing about ogden. My husband works up there and we are living in PC...not working out so nicely with the commuting. Just let us know if you have any tips on where to live. That would be great!
thank you for more reading material. you look like a million bucks megan.
see you both soon
Beautiful pictures and couple, you're going to make a gorgeous baby! So good talking to you last week! Love you, Brek
I'm glad to see your life together is so nice...I just had to come visit and catch up. You know I introduced Joshy to Malan's Basin back when we first started dating. I know the clarity you speak of, sitting in the tops of the mountains realizing that there is so much more to life. Take care of each other and come see us when you get the chance! Meg
Hey Guys, It's Kim Washburn. So I had to leave you a comment because I was looking at Kirk and Marcy's blog and I saw (Ben and Megan), and I thought that's wierd why do they have my sister Megan's blog linked to their's and then after clicking on it I realized it was yours of course. Anyway, I'm totally jealous of your post about how you love the mountains. My family actually sponsored a hot air balloon and we were able to participate in the balloon fest a couple different times. Since we're in Kansas City I miss the mountains so much. So live it up. You guys sound like your doing great. Good luck with school Ben. I think I'm going to add you to my links so I can see what fun adventures you guys are doing. See ya!
