The Waterfall clan headed to Hawaii at the end of July. We were lucky enough to get to be part of a great trip where we spent every day at the beach outside our house. There really is nothing like going to bed and waking up to the sound of the waves...oh, how I loved it! A couple of trip highlights: the beach and the ocean (need I say more?), the Polynesian Cultural Center, hot Malasadas at Leonard's (Tiff, thanks for the tip), Shaved Ice at Matsumoto's (with icecream and/or sweet and condensed milk), yoga and work-outs on the huge deck overlooking the ocean, romantic =) walks along the beach, bodyboarding, jumping off the big rock at Wayamea Bay (watching Mark and Eric do some sick tricks off the rock!), snorkeling, the ping pong tournaments (Ben was the winner), getting wrecked in the waves on the kayak, singing in the car rides, seeing Maria get so excited as she kicked in the water, and the fresh, delicious pineapple that my Dad had for us EVERY morning.
We had so much fun and I think everyone really enjoyed seeing each other and spending time as a family, especially now that our families are growing. Thanks Mom and Dad (Nancy and Scott) for giving us this opportunity. We will remember these times for a very long time!
