Cyclocross

Thanks to a good friend, Ben was introduced to the sport of Cyclocross last year. Ben tries to fit in a few races (aka "the beat down") when he is around to do so.
Last Saturday we went with him to Heiser Farms (north of Salem) to watch him race. It was the first race I had seen, and I didn't want to miss it for anything.
It had rained quite a bit that week, so the course was good and muddy! I couldn't get to the 'mud bog,' so I wasn't able to see where Ben's tire got lodged with mud. Sounds like fun tho (maybe not for Ben).
As always, I just love being a spectator and cheering them on...and I passed those genes on to Maria:)

They do not really ride their bikes in grass, do they? That looks so hard! Our friend Rich has also recently taken up Cyclocross and is begging Seth to try it. I say, "Sure, that's what Seth needs- ONE MORE BIKE TO NOT USE!"
