5 Months

Miss Malan is a whopping 5 months old.

Next month she will be 1/2 a year, and I will likely cry because she is growing tooo fast.

Stats:  13.6 lbs +/-

25 inches

-Continues to be quite happy - except for when she's not

-She smiles, and her whole face joins in

-Loves the pool, bath, and the shower

-Still a bitty thing, but seems to be getting bigger and getting more rolls

-Tries to scoot herself and is like a clock had turning her body around and keeping her head in one place

-I am sure she will have rug burns on her face from this little move she does sans hands/arm

-Is a faithful 5:00 am alarm clock

(Ben seems to think she will be back to sleep when he leaves around 6.  Oh no, he looks in her bed and she squeals with excitement and the "Get Malan Back to Bed efforts" start all over...)

-Enjoys kicking her little legs off

-Wants a binky or her fist in her mouth most of the time

-Makes friends wherever she goes.

*A couple of days ago when we were at the pool these two girls (whom we had met on the 4th thru another friend's child) saw Malan and came over and started talking to her, "Oh Hi Malan" ... and so on.  I said hello to the 'mom' and we chit chatted for a bit.  When we went our separate ways, the girls said, "Mom, who was that lady you were talking to?"  Yep, that's me, the LADY that gets to be Malan's Mommy.  I had to laugh =)
