Our Pets

Thanks to Big Poppy Bob, Grandma Peggy AND Namma Nancy and Papa Scott, Maria recieved TWO sets of these pet kits.

Maria likes to pretend she is the 'doctor' checking her pets and she is convinced that they are going to have babies.
She is obsessed with anything baby right now.  Hmmmm.
Two sets of two sea monkeys are connected and I have my suspicions of tome 'sea monkey business" that is likely going on there.

Meet Maria's Sea Monkeys, aka her "pets."

Today while we were looking at them (we do not look at them everyday, quite neglected animals actually), Maria said, "Look at their little tiny eyes.  I can't believe their little tiny eyes!  (PAUSE)  I just looooove them.  (PAUSE)  I think I am going to cry about it!"

Huh?  Random words from Maria.  Nothing surprising, just a bit random.

Side note: Yes, today is my (Megan's) bday.  This morning as I fed Malan, Maria came in to the room.  I asked her if she knew what day it was.  She said in a very excited voice, "St. Patrick's Day?"  I told her it wasn't and to guess again.   "Halloween?  I don't have a costume Mom..."  Nope, not even close.   I told her the dates of her bday and told her today's date and she said, "Ohhhhhhh, It's my Mom's birthday!   Happy Birthday Mommy!  I just looooove you!"

So ya, pretty much not anything close to how excited St.  Patrick's Day is to her, but she treated me kind of like a Grandma would with her sweet tone and tilted-head looks and her hugs and her cheek-and-lip-smooshing kisses.
