Malan is One!

-Malan is a happy little girl.
-She loves to wake up at least once or two times every night. She loves to cuddle and hug your neck really tight.
-She still nurses like a champ.
-Malan's favorite person is her sister. Even tho Maria swings her around and smashes her and can be crazy and loud a times, Malan thinks she is the coolest person EVER.
-Malan is a climber and always seems to be on the go. She climbs on everything, most commonly the kid picnic table in the kitchen and the fireplace. She walks the edge of the fireplace brick and when she starts to lose her balance she will say, "Woah, woah, woah!" and get this huge grin. Not so timid, this girl. She runs more often than walks and nothing seems to slow her down.
-She sings along whenever we are singing songs and claps her hands afterward.
-Malan loves the tub, the shower, and the pool.
-This little girl seems to love dogs. She will spot them before I do, but I know I will be seeing a dog when Malan says, "Gog, gog!" and makes this little bark (sounds more like: "ugk ugk" or "wu wu").
-She can (kind of) say a few words: Daddy, Momma, Me ee (Maria), Gog (dog), Uh oh, Woah, baba (blanket or bottle), Ta Boo (Peek a Boo).
-She blows (and spits all over) like an elephant, hits her chest with one hand for a gorilla, make a funny barking sound for a dog and a little cry sound for a cat.
-She is a dainty, yet very messy eater. She holds food with her thumb and index finger like she is all proper, but then by the end of the meal she has usually rubbed food all over her clothes and her face and hair, and thrown what she doesn't want on the floor.
-She is officially allergic to peanuts. We went to the allergist yesterday, and the skin test confirmed the previous reaction (face and hands swelling, hives, blisters and swollen shut eyes) that she had after having a little PB&J sandwich in January.
-Malan gets really excited when we pick up her sister from school or when I pick her up from somewhere or Dad comes home. As soon as she hears a car pull up, or the garage door open, she runs to the door and just starts waving. It is pretty cute.

She is so beautiful and look at those curls! I loved reading about all of her words and how much she loves Maria.
