Maria's said her favorite part of Rue's (Shelley's daugther) house was dancing to the 'bands' and picking... picking on Sunday morning with Rue's cousin Ava and her friend.
I still remember when Ava was born. Now she is ~8 and is quite knowledgeable when it comes to all the plants and bugs in the garden - I mean REALLY knowledgeable!
Maria asked me if she could "go pick with the other girls?" and I said yes. I kind of followed to see what they were really going to do, and they did just what they said. They went to pick green and purple beans, black/rasp/boysenberries, basil and snap peas.
