Thanksgiving

(my sweet Grandma Lane...birdy kisses!)

We had a big change in plans for the holiday. Instead of having the Waterfall crew in Oregon for Thanksgiving, we ended up spending the holiday in Utah with family and honoring my Grandpa Lane and attending his funeral. It was a chance for all of my family (including my Dad, back from Afghanistan!) to be together, and to be thankful for it.
(all the Lane cousins) (M and W with Grandma Nancy - breaking ALL rules: no cars seats, driving on main roads, getting 'treats,' not telling the parents where they were...good time for them!)
As always, it was wonderful to see family. All of my siblings and cousins were there for the funeral, and my sister Katie and her family even stayed for Thanksgiving...giving Maria and Winston and baby Lizzy plenty of time to be cousins.
We spent time with Ben's family, and had a good game night too.
My family even let me drag them to Salt Lake to see the lights and eat some good food at Crown Burger. I just love the Temple Square lights, and for some reason, Christmas just isn't quite Christmas without the feelings and the visual memories I have there.
