Christmas
December 25, 2012
We spent Christmas in Ogden this year.
Maria lllooooooooovvvved Christmas, everything about it! She loved the nativity reenactment, the lights, the trees, the presents, the snow, all of the Santa talk (just not being nearby Santa), the cookies and eggnog and carrots for Santa and his reindeer, and more.
Malan was happy to rip up some paper and play with the phone toy. She mostly just hung with Ryan and played with Norma Jean.
Maria woke up first and just kept asking to go downstairs to see if Santa had really come.
Let the unwrapping begin. Girls in the Christmas jammies.

Pretty dang excited. The world could have blown up and I am pretty sure she would not have noticed.

Magical...Maria just kept looking into Rapunzel's eyes and telling her how much she loved her. Oh man, it was priceless.

MayMay hanging with Uncle Ry. She has a crush on him - bad!
Yep, more stares and ohhhs and all that. Notice Maria's sweet princess earrings AND Rapunzel braid. She was so into it. *Liz would want me to note her new VS PJs that she modeled more than once.
Wallace Cousins. I love seeing Maria and Malan in this group of kids. They all love each other so much. It always impresses me to see them interact and just love being around each other.
Oh Evie Bear, please don't ever stop having bed head.

The book exchange. All the kids were in their PJs...all except Maria, who wore her princess dress ALL DAY! (and pretty much every day since)
They love each other. Malan and Maria are lucky to belong to such a cool bunch of cousins.
To remember: Maria has had SO many questions re: Christmas and Santa and Jesus' birth. All of the questions about Christmas and Christ's birth have been answered. But these other questions just made me laugh.
Maria's Santa Questions 2012:
After seeing Santa in Portland (which she kept calling Eugene) Maria said, "I didn't know Santa lived in Eugene? Is it night time in the North Pole too? How will he get to the North Pole in time to go to bed?"
Later on Maria said, "Is Santa a twin? I think he must be, because that Santa looked a leeeetle bit different."
Maria was quite concerned about Grandma Nancy's house and if it had a chimney. She kept going on and on about it. We went outside and I pointed out a vent that steam came out of and told her that would work.
She is convinced that Santa is very smart, saying, "I just knew Santa would know what I wanted. You must have told him, right Mom?"
